M25 Junction 24 and 25 this afternoon and evening and now
M25 Junction 24 and 25 were closed this afternoon and remain closed now.
This has caused "severe disruption" on roads leading to these junctions.
There was such absolute chaos on the road to Potters Bar that I abandoned my car and walked as traffic was completely deadlocked and DAO had to start their Gym and Dance Display 40 minutes late as so few parents and performers were able to get there on time.
I have never experienced such bad traffic in Potters Bar in 12 years of travelling there.
On the way home later signs were up to say the two junctions were still closed.
I advise anyone travelling anywhere near these two junctions tomorrow to check the latest status before starting out.
I would have gone by train had I known. DG

I am afraid that's a regular occurrence for those of us around this side of the m25
(jcts 5-1) gridlock is the norm heading for the Dartford crossing. It just can't cope with the volume of traffic is has to deal with on a normal day and when accidents and roadworks happen it rapidly comes to a grinding halt.
The slightest thing on the m25 brings our village to a complete standstill.
