Amber, I'd agree with Radio 4, it's often on in the home and car. You've just got tt be wary of the afternoon plays. 'Not exactly va***a-***', as my son once said! Although in our house that's all good!

My sons seem to follow the news on various twitter accounts. It means they get the news in rather bite size chunks, but I suppose they are at least aware of what is going on in the world. DD (long since left school) flatly refuses to watch the news as she says it's all "doom & gloom". Not sure if that means she should have been a social scientist, Amber. Mind you, her dissertation was more social science than anything!
