what shall I do?

Re: what shall I do?
Somewhat off topic but I would not include reading as 11+ prep. I read every day, as do my children and we always have done - it's something I hope they will always do every day in the same way as brushing their teeth. They read for fun (and I also read to them periodically) and have never equated it to homework / exam prep (although obviously I know it's of benefit)

Quite right, kittymum, that reading should be a habit. Child should be encouraged to read even if not for 11+, but without good reading habit, it is very difficult to get through 11+ tests; that's my reason to emphasize reading and reading well.

Easterrush seems to have disappeared and left us all to debate among ourselves. Perhaps the Easterrush has abated! DG

And to think I held my tongue because I thought I'd be lynched if I asked whether the OP was 'for real'
