Hi

My son has just come home with a report for the first term of year 7 and it says he has acheived 8 A's with 2 C's (PE and drama) along with 5b for English , 5c for Maths and 5b for Science.

Sorry if this is a daft question but do these results sound ok ?

Many thanks

My personal view is that these results are fine.... 8 A's show that the teachers believe he has settled in and is working well and coping with the 'senior school' workload.
Many children 'slip' a bit in the first term..... new curriculum, new teachers, new set of rules to learn.
I would guess that with the results (straight 5's) your son has taken it in his stride. :)

Thankyou for your reply.
There has been a problem with the letters that should have been sent with the results to explain them, so I won't get the explanations for about a week.
All of my friends/family have younger children,so I have no-one to compare his results to, to see if they are as they should be.
