Large GS classes versus small independent classes

You will find as subjects are setted and options chosen that class sizes at the Grammar school will shrink. It is only whilst they are still being taught in a whole class setting that the group size is high. When my daughter was lower down the school, Maths was the first subject to be setted. The year of 150 girls was split over 7 sets.The higher sets had about 26 girls, and the bottom set had only 16.

Now she is in the 6th form, her classes are just a nice size. Not too big or too small.
