Help!! Stuck on a question!!!

I'm going through the develop non verbal reasoning (practise and pass) by Peter Williams with DS. WE are stuck on two questions at the moment..lesson 2,part 2 questions 4 and 14. We've looked and looked and just cant figure these two out...Help!!!
