Whilst six months ago, I would have said year 4 was way too early to consider any sort of practice, since my dd did the exam two weeks ago, I've somewhat changed my mind.

It is important that dc learn as much as is right for them, at school, at home, as they grow up. Everything is important!

Why not make nvr fun - I bet there are some games - but only if your dc wants to. In year 4, don't stress your dc or yourself!

Also, I keep reading the 11+ is going to be totally changed - in which case is it worth doing?

Year 4 is so young! I bet if you look on here somebody will have some advice of games to play to make shapes etc fun. I wouldn't advocate much more in year 4. Now, in year 5 ...

I'd find some way of making it fun but do not stress if your dc does not want/understand, at this stage. That's my advice! And I'm not an expert and my dc hasn't passed! It is not worth getting stressed though.
