for the second one I would have said B as the diagonal lines have swapped direction compared with the other 4

(c) in the first, because there is no place where the point of a 'V' touches the perimeter?

I’d say
D
A
A

In order of the 3 questions asked
D because the all other closed shapes have 3 lines inside while d has 4
A because the rest have black and white shades adjacent in all others
A - flag direction and lines inside can be vertical or horizontal.

I thought C as well. Because C is the only one without a triangle.

The answer is D according to the book tho

It's
D you've got this correct. I thought C because C doesn't have a triangle
B I think hermanmunster got this one correct above
E I thought this was C because all flags would be made up two 4 sides shapes

The answer to third one is (e) because of flag direction and the line inside divides the flag in two equal areas.
