Test in september - what to do now?
Just read a thread that I was interested in - about doing NFER 'too early'. Son is taking NV test in september. Have started the 'How to do non-verbal reasoning' by Bond - seems v.helpful. Have also done a practice test (A) from the AFN practice tests - are there any other publications that are suitable for the NFER NV test for Grantham, Lincs?
Many thanks.
Many thanks.
Hello libs,
There is not nearly so much suitable practice material for NVR as for VR. You have already found Bond and AFN. There are some downloadable e-papers from the Tutors which follow the same format as the Lincs tests and AE tuition do two workbooks which we and many others have found useful. Because there are only those 4 papers from NfER who set the "real" test most people tend to leave them to last. Hope this helps.

Hi libs
Learning Together publish NVR material that is supplemented with VR questions. It was written for the Northern Ireland tests but should be relevant to some, if not all, of Lincs.
Check the Book Shop on this site that has some more NVR preparation material.
The Tutors have not written any NVR material, we have focussed on VR, Mathematics and Vocabulary Building.
Regards
Mike
