Bond NVR Test 1, Q10, overlapping
What is the best way to go about teaching this question?
We figured it out when we actually DREW the hexagons overlapping each other to find out what the shape in the middle would be - is there an easier way?

I had a look at this question and I can't think of any 'easier' way to find the answer.
Shown that question to my child just to see if he can do it with any different logic. His approach was to understand the overlapping pattern and eliminate one by one from the choices given to arrive at the answer.
But he had in mind what that overlap shape is going to be. Other than that I can't see any better way of doing this.
May be someone else can throw some light on this.
