This is not the "real" Mah-Jong, but it is a great computer game, and one that I have played many times.
Real mah-jong is wonderful, but it does need 4 people who have some clue how to play it, or are willing to learn. If it is played by serious contestants, then it has much of the appeal and addiction of of Bridge.
I have had a set since the age of 12, and it is a personal treasure, given to me by someone I loved very much.
To see it played by the Chinese themselves is extraordinary. They play at a phenomenal speed - the clatter of the tiles is an incredible noise, and it is also a total obsession with the Chinese nation. Doubtless they will discover football one day, and all will be lost!
