My DS has ADHD but he doesn't have an EHCP. He applied to Latymer in the summer and they replied to say that because the ADHD assessment was carried out privately, he does not qualify for extra time etc. That's all fine but I just noticed that on the test results from the first round, it mentions that my DS was in the top 900 candidates (rather than 650). The letter just says "We are pleased to be able to confirm that your child has a ranking position within the top 900 applicants in accordance with our oversubscription criteria for which you have applied". Does this just mean that his English paper will be marked like everyone else's and the same rules apply? Thanks

Presumably your child fits one of the over subscription criteria (looked after child, pupil premium or musical talent)?
