Good grammar school for SEN in Bucks, Berkshire, Kent Bexley

Hi Parent,
I am looking for list of grammar schools in the following areas which are really good for SEN child. I will appreciate if The parent who has already experienced on this to advise.
I am looking in the following areas, just get an idea of the school who has very well set up for SEN child.
Bucks
Kent
Berkshire
Bexley

That is a huge area. Where do you live now? Bucks GS allocate places on catchments.
I can recommend one ..

You may find, depending on where you live, that actually support for an SEN child is better in a none Grammar School - and depending on where you live, surely, trawling a child round all that distance, just to sit the tests in the first place, would not be advisable, would it?

I was just typing the same! It also depends on the child. I would suggest looking at schools and maybe talking to other parents whose children have similar need.

I am mainly looking in Bucks area.
Since Kent and Berks takes out of catchment so i am collecting information from the parent who already know about.

Bucks is a huge county - which GS are you nearest?

In High Wycombe area , RGS is nearest One.

Which ones have you looked at? In your area I would have said JHGS would be better than RGS for SEN support.
You are too far from the GS I was thinking of.
You need to go and speak to the SENCo at Open evenings/mornings and see where his needs will best be met. What is your back-up should he not qualify? SWR has a new Head so is worth a look if you are near enough.

I’m not in your area but you can tell a lot by downloading the Sen and behaviour policies from the school websites.
I did this for the schools near us and one was very enlightening - 6 bland pages lifted from the SEN COP with very little detail versus 26 pages of behaviour policy with detailed descriptions of sanctions and de-merit systems! No idea if it’s a genuine reflection of the school’s focus but it’s food for thought.
