Low working memory advise PLEASE

Dear All
I hope someone can advise me.
Do children with poor working memory survive in grammar schools?
what kind of limitations do they have? and what can help them?

Thanks fro your reply
my daughter has been diagnosed with having a 'poor working memory' even though all her other scores were high (93-95 percentile)
Not quite clear myself about how this affects her, so was wondering if anyone has any experience or information.

really interesting scenario..
must be very hard to identify as the child could just be labelled a 'daydreamer'.

Sounds quite similar to ADD - and I know there are children with this SEN in GS. They can be supported by writing the task on the board when you've explained it - or having a written copy of the instructions for them.
Teacher should also support by checking homework is recorded correctly - look for a school with good SEN support - you might also need to discuss how 'learning' homeworks will be adapted. When SENCo I had a rough rule of thumb that if everyone was set 20 words to learn a child with ADD or similar should be set half of that.
