How does the council work out who goes where?
I'm guessing it's a similar proceedure for most local authorities. It it one crazy spreadsheet, a computer program or a basement full of post it notes?

Allegedly a computer programme ... but every year there is the odd moment where I really wish that a "lady of a certain age" was in charge

Perhaps next year we should have all the children together and do a massive crypt-on factor.
