Grammar School Selection

Hi Everyone,
Does anyone have experience with Dartford Boys Grammar and Beths Grammar Schools.
We cant decide which to put as our first choice as ds could go to either one.
Dartford follows the IB system -which seems more challenging for Uni entry and Beths is the A level system.
Has anyone had experience with both/either that they can share.

Firstly remember that DC can change school for 6th form, so you do not need to make a decision on this at this stage. Personally I love there breadth the IB provides, particularly in terms of 'whole education' and languages. It is well regarded overseas. However, it is not for the faint hearted, definitely academically challenging and if DC has a particular science or engineering focus at that time might result in the need to do a foundation year at an English Uni (but not in Scotland or Europe - should those options still be open in 7 years' time). Personally I would choose the school which suits best for the first 5 years and worry about 6th form when it comes.

Thanks - makes sense.
Do you have any experience/insights into wither of these schools.
We saw Beths and liked it but missed out on the Dartford open day so have to make decision on what we have heard about it.

It's true - Dartford falls under Kent but not Beth's so might be worth posting in the relevant area (Bexley) for more responses.
