Advice please

I do not know a single child that is at grammar school so unfortunately I won't be getting any word of mouth help there.There are not many left around here anymore.My eldest is at a very good RC school that has good results etc about 1000 children applied for 190 spaces so it is very popular.He is doing well there and I know my 9 year old would get in there but my eldest is really not being stretched.I have heard that this is the case in year 8 and that it can be a bit of a wishy washy year but even so I have been quite surprised.It is really quite tempting to just keep my other two at home and not bother with secondary school at all,just keep going as we are !
