From my understanding none. Certainly, here in Essex, you are told not to send your child if they are ill and arrangements will be made to sit the exam on another day. You do not sit it on your own, there are always a few. This also allows for those children who are unable to take the exam on a Saturday, due to religious reasons.

If a child is taken ill during the exam they have to finish the paper they are on. They are then allowed to sit any other papers on another day. If they continue, they are deemed to be fit to sit the exam. However, if the examiners were made aware that your child was not feelig very well and this was reported at the time, you may have this as evidence if you have to appeal.

Why would anyone allocate extra marks to a child who was ill on the day, but sat the test at a later date. This would be unfair to those who sat on the day.
