Will Grammar School teaching suffer with spending cuts?

Post by Spokenhands »

The Govt is committed to a programme of significant cuts in the current control period - many of them affecting budgets and available funds in the education sector 2013 onwards. The Teachers Unions are up in arms and there are likely to be a series of disruptions and strikes - but the scale and scope of the cuts are not entirely clear.

Does anyone know knowledgeably what the effects of the proposed spending cuts be on Grammar Schools, in particular; and Secondary Schools in general.

Thanks for comments in advance

A recent group of heads were complaining bitterly about their reduced budgets. They agreed that they would be needing support from parents to update dilapidated buildings. No idea what types of school they were though, so no help on the grammar front, but the cuts are real and they are biting!
