Hello herdream, we had three weeks of holiday in the summer, no tutoring that time. But the tutor did come for the rest of the time. Once a week, 1 hour.

The outcome of having three weeks break, was good. It gave us all a break. It refreshed DS and when he was back, he was in full swing....just onto his 11 plus work. His results of 11 plus exams were brilliant....and we were very happy with it.

Btw...the 12 months of the 11 plus journey, we had a total of 5 weeks breaks...and of course there were quite a few weekends where 11 plus was not even mentioned.

DS does get nervy when things get tight.....so i always made sure there was no pressure at all from our end of things....good amount of sleep and play, and good nutritous food....healthy snacks and reasonable amount of treats. Our tutor was excellent in advising us of all the above...preping DS mentally for the exams. This is a key element of 11 plus.....kids should not feel threatened by the exams.

Hope this helps
