Lowest standardised score offered a place on offer day

Post by ebrs »

Can anyone advise whether or not grammar schools are obliged to reveal the lowest standardised score of the last offer made on national offer day for a place at their school? If they refuse to give this information can it be requested under an FOI?

Yes they are, provided you make the request in writing (email will do) and give your name and address. Mentioning the Freedom of Information Act is optional.

Thank you WP. I have made the request for the information and I said that I preferred not to resort to an FOI request to obtain it. For complicated reasons I required the information by today (a fact they are aware of) but they have not responded yet.....

Well that's all there is to an FoI request. The bad news is they have 4 weeks to respond.
