BOND 10-11 Assessment papers

Post by mum »

Anybody doing regularly BOND 10-11 Maths and Verbal Practise assessment papers?
DD scoring consistently on an average about 85%, scores varying between mid 80's to low 90s. Any idea on if these are good enough scores at this stage or should we be looking for 90 plus consistently? :o
She is a summer born and not yet 10
Any thoughts would be appreciated.....
Thanks

Good enough for which school? It is impossible to generalise. A school that would put you in the top 10% at one school would put you in the bottom 10% of two thousand at another school. THe Mill HIll first round is on 14th June and only 240 out of thousands sitting will get through to the second round. DG

Hi mum!

Yes, these are reasonable scores, but my advice would be to start to expose your child to the harder questions so as not to be "thrown" in the test by the harder questions. As always, wide reading is the key. My own summer-born dd was achieving about the same levels at this stage, and went on to do very well in the Warwickshire cohort. Keep going!

Thanks.
DG, she is trying for Kendrick school @ Reading...
JMC, yes she is doing other papers as well, but scores are mostly around 85% for all the papers....5% careless/silly mistakes and 10% finding it difficult to do...
