Schools from Harrow

Post by viking »

Hi All,

My son will be writing exams in September 2018. What schools are we eligible to apply from Harrow - HA7.

Thanks

Also the grammar schools in Slough.

And all other open selective schools and even some schools in Bucks.

I don't that think you would have got in to a Bucks school from Harrow this year, so probably not worth the stress. They are on achieving a minimum score, then distance.

One is north London and one is South London, by quite a distance. Do you intend to move? You could take it even further and try St Olaves in SE London that has no catchment and would be a nightmare journey from Harrow

We are ok with the move once the seat is allotted. Hence we are interested in schools which have no catchment rule applied.

Even until this year, you would have been lucky to get a Bucks GS place from HA7 because it is on the eastern side of Harrow borough. This year you would have stood no chance whatsoever: the only Harrow children who were allocated places were a couple of siblings.
