Hi members
I am in a bit of a situation here .We have moved to Trafford some time back and D.S. is in year 8 in Sale Grammar .my husband has been transferred to Southampton now and currently he is travelling there every week and back with us on weekends .
I looked up the web and couldn’t find any GS in Southampton/Hampshire.as of now we have decided against moving base as kids are happily settled
However ,since this relocation would be for a minimum 2 years ,I was just trying to explore any valuable ideas/suggestions you might have regarding Southampton schools .
Thanks in advance

I grew up in Winchester (so not far from Southampton).
Hampshire has no grammar schools. I would recommend looking around Winchester- it’s a great area to live and the local 6th Form (my old school) was one of the schools listed in the Tatler guide - Peter Symonds.
