Number of marks shown on questions?

Post by ciaowood »

Please could anyone tell me if, on both the GL and CEM tests, whether the number of marks available to each question are shown on the question paper? Thank you.

Historically, GL has been 1 mark per question.

I think CEM is the same. For multi-part maths questions, each part should be 1 mark.

For CEM the questions are one mark per correct multi choice box.
There is no negative marking in Slough or Bucks CEM.
So if a question with missing words from a paragraph has ten words to fill the boxes for, it will carry ten marks.

All raw marks are then standardised and the 'score' from that only reflects the ranking of the marks in the test.
