Are the Bond Books any good?
Dear Patricia, Forum Mods,
Please could you tell me if the bond books are good for the langley /tiffin entrance .
Do they cover all types of questions for the exam?
I have some NFER exam mcq, saving these to test son in a few weeks.
I have been tutoring my son DIY at home, seems to be doing ok, avg score 90% in vr, 85% nvr, 90% maths. in bond books age 9-10,10-11.
All advice gratefully received from all (fellow parents/teachers/tutors)
thank you in advance

Re: Are the Bond Books any good?
You should post in the Surrey section for specific answers... Bond are good up to a point... I think you will find they do not cover all the question types for Tiffin.Redfish wrote:tiffin

Dear Redfish
The VR test for the Tiffin schools are the same 21 types used for Bucks. Bond should not be used as they cover 50 types in standard form, only 17 are relevant to nfer, 4 are missing.
The following link will help you prepare, explaining which publishers are relevant.

With regard to NVR, I believe Bond are of use, but I am no expert in this discipline.
Good Luck
Patricia
