Thanks a lot!! For some strange reasons, DD finds 11+ interesting although very challenging...
Will their admissions be based purely on test scores please? Or will it also depend on distance from school to home etc? Meaning we will need to move home?
Is Wallington High School for Girls any good? Also, is there any other school in/around London (11+) that we will be able to apply please?
Many thanks!
We loved Wallington High and applied there for our DD.
Not all schools will suit all children. For example, we didn't like Wilsons for our DS (it's a boy's grammar in Sutton) but for most people, Wilsons seems to be the 'best' choice. We preferred Sutton Grammar because we were choosing for our own son, not someone else's.
Hopefully the schools will be able to hold open days in September and you'll be able to get a feel for which schools you like. Do make sure you visit your local schools as well as the grammars - you might find you prefer one of them, and it will be much easier for your DD to go to a local school than one that's far away.
