**This is all assuming back to normality**

Hello All,

I was wondering what the etiquette in general was for going to Open Days at the end of Y4, so that DCs can see the schools before embarking on the prep? Is this ok or is it a big no-no and really only for Y5s?

Thanks in advance

I took mine to open days (in July) in year 4, then again in year 5. It definitely helped - especially for DS who is now in year 6 as obviously all the open evenings last term were cancelled. At least we had a chance to view the schools before we apply!

I went with DD in September of year 5. From the reactions we had I would say much younger is pretty rare, but I wouldn't have thought it would be an issue. Basically my DD is very short, so looks younger than she is, hence the reactions :)

Only thing is that to help with social distancing I imagine some schools may restrict access to those in years 5 and 6. Maybe? Just a guess though.
