Test date was October 16th and so additional date needs to be at least two weeks later, to accommodate anyone isolating, which takes you to Friday of half term. First week back is November. Am really hoping it’s sooner rather than later!

ETA I'm assuming they want to run just one additional date to include all children who have missed the other three dates for any reason.

So it is easy to see how younger siblings taking the 11 plus could be impacted by this.

They will need to allow those this happens to take it two weeks later. DG
When DD was self isolating as someone in her class tested positive the guidance from PHE was that others in the family could go about as normal provided DD and others in the household did not start to display any symptoms. So I could go to work and supermarket and DH could go to daily hospital appointments. The hospital were so laid back they didn't even want to arrange a test for DH, we could only get a test with a letter from a medical professional as we didn't otherwise qualify to get a test as none of us were displaying symptoms.

Yes, in that event, the household of the contact is not required to join them in self isolating, unless s/he (or anyone else in the household, of course) develops symptoms. A negative test would mean (re)release for the test of the household, but not for the original contact before the end of the 14 days.
