Hi I have the opportunity to apply for two grammar schools for my child in different boroughs. Is it permissible to register for both and sit the exam for both until we make a decision?

Hi sheriphat, yes that sounds quite normal - are they both schools your child could easily travel to?

Applying to sit the exam and applying for the school are two different things. You apply to sit the exam and then based on your results decide whether or not to apply for the school,

Some families will sit exams for schools that they currently do not live anywhere near with the plan to move if they score highly enough for a place at the school.

You will get more helpful info from members if you actually name the schools. DG
