Multiple Choice or Standard

Post by Susie Degiorgio »

Can anybody help me please?
My son will be taking his 11+ in Medway this school year.
Does anybody know if they will be doing the multiple choice questions or the standard ones?
Also do they take verbal reasoning and non verbal reasoning?
Thanks for your help

Hi Susie

You might like to try postin this on the Kent forum, further down the list - it is reasonably active, so you should get a reply fairly soon. If not come back to us, and one of our "resident forum wizards" will find a web-link for you!

Hi Susie,

The selective entrance examination subjects you have to do are:

Verbal Reasoning
Mathematics
Written English

The format of these exams is thought to be:

English - Extended writing exercise 1
Verbal-Reasoning test
English - Extended writing exercise 2
Mathematics test

There is no Non-Verbal Reasoning test.

There are seven grammar schools in Medway.

Chatham House Grammar School
Chatham Grammar School for Boys
Chatham Grammar School for Girls
Fort Pitt Grammar School
Rainham Mark Grammar School
The Rochester Grammar School for Girls
Sir Joseph Williamsons Mathematical School

Still need help

Sorry to be a pain, but I still can't find out if the Maths and Verbal Reasoning tests for Medway are Multiple Chice or Standard.

I have tried the Kent & the Medway forums.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Susie,

I have one son who sat the 11+ in 2005 and another one taking it this time round, it is the Multiple Choice tests that you should be practicing for Medway.

Best of luck.
