A pass is a pass!

Post by ch1ll1man »

DD got her letter yesterday and we cannot believe how close she was.

Needed 218 as you all know

Got 218!!!

I just need to make sure I don't go on to develop post traumatic stress at the thought of what might NOT have been. We've always been told that she is bright, works very hard and is not phased by the work given to her - her reports are also always excellent. She is judged 5C for all subjects but the one downfall she has is that she be a little too methodical, she likes to double check everything before she moves on and most of the time there is no need. She'll make a good scientific researcher.

So the reason for this post is a little advice based on our experience. For those with children who are taking the test in future do not just worry how bright they are but make sure you work on their speed as much as possible - we didn't work on speed and it nearly cost us!

Her mum attended Bexley Grammar and was always told the same things as we are told about DD and she went on to gain 11 GCSE A results so she'll be fine we think. It's all A*'s now though :)
