Help! Don't know which school to choose

6 months ago my dream was to be in the situation i am in now. now that it is a reality i am left confused and stressed out.
my 11 year old daughter has been offered 100% fees paid scholarship place at blackheath high. she was also offred a place at chis and sid.
last week we received a letter from newstead wood school offering her a place there.
before this letter we accepted the offer of scholarship and turned down chis and sid. now we are all stressed out as we have no idea which one to choose from. blackheath high private or newstead wood grammar. please, please, please tell us your opinions to help us to make our minds up

I don't know the schools but why don't you visit them all again to see what feels right for you.

we fell in love with both of the schools for different reasons. we have seen the schools. one school looks really nice and felt really at home. this is blackheath high. on the other hand newstead wood is a top grammar school. so how do we choose?

My dd is going to NW. Very happy. She is really keen on science and loves the idea of going to a school specialising in engineering.

Think you have answered the question yourself....

i don't know the schools but Newstead is presumably a top GS because it is highly acdemically selective - that is how you get the results.... but you felt more comfortable at Blackheath. 7 years is a long time to spend somewhere.

Go with your gut instincts and which one your dd prefers. She has to go there - her achievements will be great whichever you go for.

i got a offer from them last week. but i am not sure if i will take it or not. i am a little worried that school may put too much pressure on her

I can only add that I know two children at Blackheath and they are very able and getting great results. Both have said that the staff really care and that the other pupils are great. I would say go with your gut instinct. Good Luck x
