Then you are lucky. Our Primary had 2 classes of 30 which they put together to make up the sets.

hi not sure on figures but having had my dd sit this exam last year i know that bexley numbers were down, my dd got 5a reading 5b writing 5a maths and she did not pass as was the case with a lot of other children i know, think the test needs to b looked at, as i also know of children who did that only got betwwen 4a and 5c in sats, its very worrying.

The 11plus test is not testing the same things as the SATS so it can happen that children do well in one and maybe not so well in the other.

And while the 11+ in most (all?) areas is age standardised, SATs are not. Although they are different tests with a different purpose, it's not unreasonable to suppose there is some correlation, but that it will be different for September-born and August-born children.

Hi, in the latest booklet for those due to start secondary next year, in the section on selection tests, it states that the tests are currently under review for 2013. No idea what they might change about them though.

'In total, 4862 children sat the tests, and 1394 have been deemed selective. 2454 of these children attend primary schools in Bexley, and 438 have been deemed selective'.

Total entrants 1394/4862=28.6%
Bexley primaries 438/2454=17.8%
Other 956/2408=50.4%

Bexley primaries out of total 438/4862=9%
Other out of total 956/4862=19.6%

This is last year statistics from bexley website
