Result confusion

My son has 'qualified' for QE Barnet and also been graded 'likely' by St. Olaves. If I chose QE as the first option and St. Olaves as the second option and he doesn't get QE, will his chances for St. Olaves reduce?

I don't want to reduce the chances for St. Olaves considering the uncertainty involved in this process.

Putting QE first will not affect the chance of you getting St O if you put St O second but don't get QE. Put it another way - if you don;t get your first choice then that is disregarded and your second choice becomes your first.
