NFER papers vs real exam

Hi,
Can anyone, please, tell me how do NFER papers compare to actual tests regarding difficulty level. Do you think the real tests are easier?

I've never seen a real NFER test, but it doesn't sound to me as if they are easier. My children have never suggested so. My impression from having two children do the 11+ is that Maths and English tend to be the easiest and VR and NVR the most challenging.
