CGP Book on English (VR)

I have been flicking through this book - it seems very hard particular vocab element
Is a child expected to know all of this?

Can not remember that one, sorry but a lot of 11+ books seem a lot harder than they need to be in our experience.

I would use all these books as opportunity to build vocab......we were told to use an online dictionary such as learnersdictionary.com
