General opinion on the Bexley tests at son's school seems to be:
Maths - quite easy
Verbal - quite hard
English - average
Non-Verbal - very hard
Does everyone else agree?
After this, I'm going to try not to think about them again!

Daughter found
Maths reasonable but hard to get finished
verbal r. quite easy
English fine for the first part (comp) but tricky at the end
NVR really hard
It does seem strange that I wont be needing to tune in to this site so often now the tricky bits over - maybe I'll get some housework done!

My daughter's opinions:
Maths-similar to NFER practice papers, generally OK,
VR-fine, but hard to finish in time,
English-fine,
NVR-some questions harder than NFER papers, but OK.

The general view of those I've talked to at school is as I_Bexley describes. My son's views are:
Maths - OK
VR - OK but codes a bit tricky
English - OK but punctuation hard
NVR - very hard
He finished all the papers but felt he guessed about 5 on the maths, 10 on the VR; 10 on the English (punctuation!); and 10 on the NVR. Sounds, on reflection as if 10 is the default number of guesses to tell an inquisitive mum!
