You just need a pass, it isn't superselective so the pass in past years, and indeed this year has been around the 215 mark. The top 180 score for those who can choose regardless of distance was 249 this year, I don't know about past years.

Re: beths and bexley grammar
I know someone got into Bexley Grammar in 2013/14 with 222 when the pass mark was 217 or so. As long as they cross the pass mark with a bit, they should be okay. Like the other parent said, they are not super selective.
Re: beths and bexley grammar
Just to reiterate what Pettswood Fiona said, if you pass but are outside the top 180, it does not matter what your score is, the places will be allocated in accordance with the schools admission criteria, which is usually distance. So if you score 240 but live 5 miles from Bexley Grammar and another child score 216 but lives close to the school, that child will get the place.
