Newstead Wood Sample Papers

Hi, I am a little confused with the preparation for the exam at Newstead wood. Do we just need to practice the type of the questions in the sample paper given to us by the school? Also, at the exam will they give an extra sheet to workout the answers? Please reply....

Yes there will be an answer sheet. DD never saw the sample paper but did well enough by doing the Bond ten minute tests in NVR and VR (plus the practice for Kent and Bexley and general wide reading helped).

Can I ask if they are allowed to eliminate on the actual question paper?
for eg in NVR my daughter is used to crossing out answers that aren't suitable but in one of the mock tests she says she was not allowed to do so.

I thought maybe it was only for mocks where they may tend to reuse question packs but would be good to know in the actual exam so can prepare her for it.

I have posted in detail about the newstead test crossing out.

The school confirmed it is not allowed
No marking on the question paper.

I believe this is not the case for the Kent test
The familiarisation booklet says marking on question booklet is allowed

But they should have a tough sheet for working out!

I was assuming they will allow to do some scrap work in Test booklet!! To my understanding it is allowed in Kent exam.

Yes....Kent allows it...only newstead doesn't.
It took my daughter getting used to this and she struggled initially
