The Bexley Council website and the Bexley Test information materials definitely say "by" the 5th :?

Hello!

My husband just emailed me to say it says 'by' on the website which is why I immediately came this forum to see if anyone else was wondering. Funny, really, as DH generally appears not to pay ANY attention to any of this, and leaves it to me. But, as previous poster says, the email says 'on'. Nothing about the time either. It's going to be a long day ...

I think this is the first year Bexley has done it by email. Two years ago, with my other DS, it was post, which was easy as I know what time our postman comes. Last year it was also by letter.

To make things worse, my DS in on a school trip until Friday. He expects me NOT to open the email until he gets home. Then he added this morning, before leaving, that he'd like to leave it until Saturday before opening the email because - if it's bad news - he'd rather not get it on Friday.

I hate to lie to him so I just tried to grunt in a non-committal way but - SERIOUSLY - am I supposed to wait until Saturday to open the email. Not a chance ....

Hi,

Called school admissions, very wishy washy, couldn't actually clarify when results will be sent other than BY 5th October - which is already stated on the bexley website.

Have been told will get a call back with a more definite answer as I was not impressed by the vagueness..

An exact date is what should be stated not "by the 5/10"!

I read that as results can come anytime, previously results sent after 5pm on the results day....

Thanks for trying to find out Sep2017. I guess we'll definitely know by the end of a Thursday. As the email said "on" I'm mentally prepared for Thursday. Not long now whether it's then or earlier..... :o

Tbh, I also think results will be sent ON Thursday. Shame bexley borough couldn't be specific on the website!

Not long to go now...

Have we established when (as in what time) on 5th? I am at work on that day and if I know the result, I'd like to be able to collect son and tell him.

It has seemed an exceptionally long wait!

Sorry to jump on this posting, just wondered are results by email only or will letter also arrive? I remember a couple of years ago when DS1 got his it was email and letter, and ironically the letter arrived before the email!

I don't have a DS sitting this year, but am curious for next year.

Good luck everyone, I'm can clearly remember how stressful this week was a few years back!

Email only this year I think. I am becoming more nervous about opening said email as each day passes, particularly as DD2 is so excited to find out her results. She is convinced she has done well in all the exams (Bexley, Kent and NW). I am gently reminding her that it will not be the end of the world if she doesn't get through.
