Dear All,
My DS got 243, 8 marks lesser than top 180 score of 251, but we are 20 miles+ from the schools. Is there a chance we could get if we put in waiting list? obviously we will move closer if he would get a place.
please advise.

You can check the distances offered for each school over the last 5 years in the Bexley admissions book - none seem to have gone as far as 20+ miles (from memory) sorry can't be more helpful. Bexley grammar only went about 2.2 miles and Beth's and chis & Sid has varied, but not been over 20 miles. The historic distances are there to give us a guide to what we can expect roughly.
Well done to your DS on a fanstastic score

The Bexley website should indicate the latest date by which you need to have moved to within a sensible distance of your target school and still be included in the initial round of offers.
Not much help if they will only use the address from which you apply, given that October 31st is less than four weeks away, though.
