Re: Head of St Olave's suspended
As a former parent of a child at a superselective grammar I would say the pressure on students comes from all sides, from the schools which will ditch them if they end year 12 with a B and from the parents who over-tutor their offspring, as they must go to Oxbridge! We then wonder why these schools have high numbers of mental health issues.

Am I alone in thinking he will have walked away with a very generous severance package which will in due course cause outrage to many parents. It appears too smooth and too clean cut to think otherwise. The deal is already done.Maybe I am being too suspicious ?kenyancowgirl wrote:Jumping before being pushed. The only way really as if he was pushed he probably had no chance of working again. Ironically he will now likely walk away and get a job abroad somewhere. The comments did raise a smile!hermanmunster wrote:Head is leaving at Xmas

Bonuses to join schools, possible severance pay when you leave the next one ... I never thought of state education as the place to increase your personal wealth.
