Just wondered if many girls from the Bromley area go to Townley Grammar? I know coaches go from Orpington and Petts Wood but wondered if many go by public transport from Bromley North/South, Shortlands, Chislehurst? It would be great to hear from any parents who have daughters there, to see how girls find the travelling (specially in winter), or any hoping to go there next year.

The 269 bus route stops in front of the school and is listed in the prospectus.
There can be a lot of traffic on Chislehurst Road at that time. The services from Bromley North to Townley Grammar that arrive at 0809 & 0821 are timetabled to depart Bromley North at 0725 & 0736 respectively, with 45 minute journey time. Take 10 mins off from Chislehurst Station (35 mins), and another 10 mins from Sidcup High Street (25 mins).
Unsure on Shortlands, West Wickham, Hayes etc, in some years catchment has not gone out that far, unless score is in Top 180. Based on distance alone, NW may offer a shorter journey.

My DS is likely to start next year (that's relying on the distance not reducing significantly).
