Is there any crash course for 11plus or any paper class in Bromley or Orpington area?

There are mock tests that take place in the Crofton Halls next to Orpington station. We found those useful as we could then see what areas DD was getting wrong and then focus on those and just keep the other stuff ticking over. We didn’t go the external tutor route so don’t know if some tutors do intensive courses but there probably are, I am sure I’ve seen things in the past on other social media but didn’t keep the details as we didn’t need it. If you find such a course also ask if they are effective and if they work with your child’s learning style. The problem with crash courses is that they can be very general and not tailored to the school(s) you are applying or the weaknesses of your child.

This was a few years ago now when we were on the journey and we tried a few weeks of Explore Learning on Orpington high street before we decided to DIY and it was just not right for DD and repetitive on areas she knew well so wasting time and the atmosphere of six children to an untrained tutor was a noisy and disruptive one. It was also mostly computer based which the tests in our area are not.

There are Bexley mock exams for £25 that we used last year but they are based in Harris Academy Falconwood

Presumably a completely unrelated company just renting space there, not run by the school itself?

However, I know that schools are encouraged / need to capitalise on their facilities, but it does seem a little odd that a school which Harris boast of having turned round from one achieving truly dire results at GCSE, even by the standards of a de facto (if not de jure) secondary modern school, to one doing pretty darn well, 'despite being surrounded by selective schools' should rent space to an organisation devoted to helping parents avoid the very school in which they are sitting their mocks.

OP if you can get there I'm pretty sure that recre8 do an 11+ Easter holiday course at Tonbridge school. I don't know anything about it but remember seeing it on their list of courses - just search Tonbridge School holiday courses.

Edited to add: ensure you check the course content is relevant to your exam(s)

Doesn't Bexley use CEM for its 11+? So the mocks would be pretend CEM style? What does Newstead Wood use?
