Hi BogginsDad, on the "Greenwich parents" thread there is a poster who lives 3.65 miles who got in and one who lives 3.9 miles that didn't.

Sorry to hear that re CSGS. Remember some people will have offers from independent schools too so fingers crossed there will be some movement for you.

Would really appreciate if successful applicants to said school could confirm their distances please as this distance (4.3) would have worked in any of the previous 5 years.

Many thanks
Hi,

I would email the council. They will reply eventually with the distance they deem your house to be from every school and the distance offered.

Make sure you put your child’s pupil ID.
There is movement up to September.

Good luck,

My daughter got chis and sid. We are 3.68 miles according to the free map tool. All the best to everyone, hope everyone gets what they want in the end. It's been a long day (ok, year!)

Chis 'n' Sid seems to be heavily oversubscribed this year! Several DC who would have been offered a place on National Offer Day last year (and in previous years) seem to have missed out on a place this year. I wonder why there has been a sudden surge in popularity/applications for Chis 'n' Sid?

I'd love to know. Traditionally, C&S come out as far as us (Bromley) in March and Beths don't but this year, Beths has and C&S hasn't yet.

Is it possibly that Townley catchment seems to have shrunk so girls in the North of Bexley have got C&S instead?

I think it was because the head teacher did a lot of small group tours. This showed a much nicer side of the school than the crazy open days. I think it was a PR experiment that worked.

I certainly prefered the head's tour to the main open day.
