We prioritise the wellbeing, dignity and morale of our pupils and staff.

That's nice - wonder if it was in the ad for the post last time round as well?

Tbf, he is of retirement age now. And possibly most schools would be wary of giving someone a fourth go at Headship, with the last two stints at least having attracted the opprobrium that they did.

taken from the ad:

"someone who is prepared to work collaboratively with the Board of Governors, staff, pupils and their parents"

Does this mean they won't chuck them out or have they changed the wording in their admissions policy to cover themselves?

Or perhaps he will take his 'baked spider eating' act to new dimensions in the world of entertainment? just think - he could enter Britains' Got Talent' ....or a mere ten years from now Mr Onic might be glimpsed treading the boards at Cromer Pier chewing spiders and tinkling the ivories for the summer season. Lord how the mighty have been exhalted.

I really hope they make a good appointment; sometimes I've seen schools 'play safe' after this sort of departure. In some schools this has meant a period of stagnation.

Totally agree Guest55. Some schools just promote from within. Ignoring the departed head and his techniques, this school generally was very well liked with a good reputation so I would hope there would be some excellent candidates for the job. The students deserve that.

Do you think the new head will give the Scouts a bit of the field to build a new hut on?
