Thanks kenyancowgirl. In that case - a late application, who then sits and passes the test in January might cause waitlist positions to move about after March as they are inserted into the list?

Absolutely yes - you will be given that information if you are added to the waiting list - and we give it on here over and over, but people still seem surprised by it. You are completely correct - the waiting list can go up - or down.....!

I don’t think I had grasped that waitlists could increase because of late applications. For some reason I thought late applications all sat the test in January and then were slotted into the March allocations. I didn’t realise they were slotted in after March.
