My friend's older child travels to a grammar by train - just 15 minutes and one train. (My older two travel 25 minutes - but again, just one train). As a few of you have said, the buses can be crowded and hard to get on...that's a point she had not mentioned!

One issue your friend may be thinking about is that London busses are free for London children and the train can be expensive.Crescent26 wrote:Thanks all.
