Bexley test passmark

Post by Hopeful123*** »

Good luck for those awaiting results tomorrow.

The website states that this year’s passmark is 214 with 246 for top 180.

Fingers crossed for everyone!

Thanks, Hopeful123***.

Looks like number of applicants are down on previous years? 5,760 taking the test with 1,977 being deemed selective.

Yes so a higher % of children have passed. Wonder if this has an effect on the distances offered ...

It would do, other things being equal. It’s the ‘other things being equal’ bit that means it is very hard to draw any conclusions. Need to know where applicants live, the order of their school preferences, which schools they put down, etc...

So I have been following the catchment areas closely. If a higher percent have passed (ie 34.32 percent have passed) then I don’t imagine it will stretch to where I live.

As I understand it once Bexley deal with the top performers they take children who are selective by distance (once obvious exceptions are taken into account like pupil premium kids etc who should have first shot at things). Maybe I am just assuming too much.

Have I got that correct? Will catchment areas shorten? Good luck everyone.

I feel sick. I can only hope and pray my child did ok.

I think many pupils were able to take advantage of tutoring and many pupils were badly impacted by the length of time out of school.
It does not seem right in many ways but I guess it never really was typically fair.

Does the Mark matter year to year?

Anyhow good luck to you all.

Does anyone know what time you are notified ? Is it late afternoon?

I feel quite stressed but I think the process is so stressful.

Best of luck tomorrow!
